Dr.
Wayne Stadelmann is a Board Certified Plastic
Surgeon and an associate professor of surgery at the University
of Louisville. Dr. Stadelmann did his undergraduate studies at the
University of Chicago where he graduated in 1986 and was elected
to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
He then went on to graduate with honors at the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago in 1990 where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After completing his general surgery training at the University of Chicago Medical Center, Dr. Stadelmann completed three years of plastic surgery training at the University of South Florida.
He joined the Faculty of the University of Louisville division of
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1997 and has been promoted
to Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Stadelmann is currently the
Vice-Director of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
at the University of Louisville and the Leonard J. Weiner endowed
professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has published
over 29 peer-reviewed articles, authored six textbook chapters,
authored over 35 scientific abstracts, and has conducted regional
and national instructional courses.
- Dr.
Stadelmann was the recipient of the Golden Apple teaching award
in general surgery in 1991 while at the University of Chicago
and again for plastic surgery teaching in 2000 at the University
of Louisville.
- Dr.
Stadelmann is a broadly trained plastic surgeon and performs all
types of cosmetic and reconstructive operations. Among the operations
that he most enjoys include breast surgery for cosmetic and reconstructive
reasons, facial aesthetic surgery including facelifts and eyelid
procedures as well as non-operative skin care. Body contouring,
liposuction and tummy tuck procedures are also performed.
- Dr.
Stadelmann also specializes in head and neck skin cancer especially
melanoma. As a compassionate physician, Dr. Stadelmann devotes
as much time and attention to his aesthetic patients as to his
cancer reconstruction patients.

Dr. Stadelmann continuously strives for perfection in all aspects
of his practice.
- Dr.
Stadelmann sees patients in his private office all day Monday
and on Thursday mornings.
- Dr
Stablemann is the president of the Kentucky Society of Plastic
Surgeons.
Gordon R. Tobin, MD is Professor of Surgery and Program Director of the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Louisville. Dr. Tobin received and A.B. degree from Whitman College and an M.D. degree from the University of California, San Francisco. His residencies, in both general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery, were at the university of Arizona. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Society of University surgeons, American College of Surgeons (Fellow), American Association of Plastic Surgeons, Plastic Surgery Research Council and the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Tobin's principal clinical and research interests have been in flap anatomy and physiology and in wound healing of epithelial, mesenchymal and central nervous system tissue.
Brian P. Tierney, MD: After completing Plastic Surgery Fellowship training at the University of Louisville in June 2000, Dr. Tierney became Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in September 2001. His surgical interests include cancer and trauma reconstruction as well as cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Tierney
is an assistant professor of surgery in the division of plastic
surgery at the University of Louisville. Prior to moving to Louisville
3 years ago from the Cleveland area, Dr. Tierney received his medical
degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in
1993 and completed a General Surgery Residency at Akron City Hospital.
He served as Chief Surgery resident in 1998 and an Instructor of
Surgery at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
Research performed at Case Western Reserve University on synthetic
material interactions with tissue resulted in many published papers
and abstracts. An undergraduate degree in Biology was received from
John Carroll University in Cleveland in 1989.
He enjoys biking,
tennis, golf; basketball, skiing and spending time outdoors with
his yellow Labrador retriever.
